Notes for THOMAS BISSOPP

Thomas was probably set up in the clothiers trade by his father Giles. He moved from Sutton Valence after the birth of his first child & settled in Water Place, Hunton, a farm of 14 acres. He also owned another 12 acres of land in Hunton. Water Lane in Hunton leads down to the farm today. The river Beult flows nearby & this supplied water for the clothing processes. Thomas was buried just 5 days after his young son Thomas was baptised.
